I didn’t realize how many fascinating bits of information might appear in a vintage magazine.

Inventions of 1937

I would definitely purchase this hat. I’m 5 ft ‘tall’ and would appreciate a little help to see in large crowds.

I bought a May 1937 Popular Science magazine in a mystery bag from a local vintage store. I had no idea how many interesting and quirky articles I might find.

It turns out that curiosity has a long history. The publication was founded 150 years ago in 1872. That’s just wild to me!

Many modern magazines often stop printing after a few short years. Popular Science magazine definitely has stood the test of time.

I’m sharing a few of the short inserts with photographs that caught my eye. I just love how curious and creative these inventors were.

An Artist I Can Relate To

I have done some wacky things in the name of experimental art. So, Mr. Paul Frankel gets a nod from me for sure. I love how he’s thinking outside the box and how he’s experimenting with different media.
