I Must Untangle My Mind and Make Some Lists
I know I’m not the only one who has a lot on her plate. Untangling my mind is a daily challenge.

Release The Information
I make a lot of lists. Partly because I have the memory of a strainer and partly because I really like making lists.
There’s something satisfying about drawing a line through a completed task on a crisp piece of paper. I always feel so accomplished.
I write everything down because I’m easily distracted. My lists will include it all. I don’t keep them when it’s all done but maybe I should. Some of the things I write down is a little funny.
1. Take the trash out
2. Order mom’s prescriptions
3. Pay the water bill — they fine us $10 if we’re a day late.
4. Cut up the watermelon
5. Drink water
6. Clean window — a bird did a number two on it.
7. Take the leaves out of the freezer — the leaves for my eco-dye projects dry out too quickly unless I keep them in the freezer. I hide them because the family would throw a fit if they knew. LOL
It’s random, but necessary.
I honestly think that if I didn’t have my notes and lists, I would struggle. It’s a way for me to do a brain dump. I’m not a super fan of the term but it really does describe what it feels like when I document the tasks I need to complete. I can deposit them on paper and deal with them throughout the day.
I don’t think I could untangle my thoughts without it. It’s a mental safety net for me. I get upset with myself when I forget something and this way I don’t. So I suppose they are part of my self-care.
My Recent Series of List
I’ve been playing around with the idea of starting a YouTube channel, but it feels a lot like starting a business. There’s the name, the ideas, the equipment, the learning curve, and so many considerations.
Do I sound okay on a video, or will I sound like a chipmunk as I get more and more nervous.
