Yes, it only takes one or two drops of food coloring per tablespoon of mix. I added another drop to the red in the picture example. So you can play with the saturation. It holds up well on watercolor paper but does have a sandpaper feel once dry. I guess that's the baking soda and cornstarch. The color doesn't fade though. Examples that I painted a year ago still look great. :0)
